Post 34 Veterans' Affairs and Benefits

Our Mission

Post Service Officer

Post Service Officer

U.S. Marine Corps honor guard detail.

American Legion service officers are specially trained to provide expert assistance for veterans claims, free of charge, to veterans and their families. While the majority of a service officer’s work involves application for Veterans Administration disability benefits, these compassionate professionals also provide information, referrals and resources on education, employment and business, death benefits and other important veterans affairs.

Our Post Service Officer, David Lang, is a U.S. Air Force disabled veteran trained in the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs disability process. He can also help guide veterans claims for Combat-Related Special Compensation and Social Security disability. Post 34 also provides emergency financial assistance to veterans in need. Contact the Service Officer for details.
